    Terrorism is politically motivated violence against non-combatants and innocents and that is the very definition by which all governments maintain and expand their power. There is no mean coincidence that police in America behave like an occupying force enforcing laws that have no place in a free society whether the illegal vegetation laws or ordinances against consensual behavior that ensure America has the highest per capita prison population on Earth. Much like the military industrial complex for which overseas martial adventures are sophisticated money-laundering operations, the same applies to the government-legal complex that gums up the US economy, ensnares innocents in a host of malum prohibitum laws and justifies the mass surveillance activities of a government that seeks total control over its tax cattle.

  • What is Rightful Liberty and How Do We Keep It?

    “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness” – a phrase even a slightly educated 5th grade student should recognize. Sadly unless a child is educated (or re-educated) at home by parents that understand the core concept – it is just a random phrase without the context given to it by history.

    The Founding Fathers developed their ideas of individual freedom and every “rights” counterpart responsibility from a history of being “freemen” of the English tradition who were thrust into the maw of a tyrant. I would note that most of them moved to the colonies to escape that tyranny; and found that tyranny had followed them here.

    Those basic concepts of rightful liberty were enshrined in a document called “The Constitution of The United States of America”. This document is not a instrument of governmental authority – it is a document defining the limitation of governmental duties. It is a compromise reached by thinking men who lived under tyranny and wished it to not be thrust upon their descendants. The Constitution defines the largest governmental encroachment on personal responsibility that the Founders believed to be prudent – while guarding individual liberties.

    These men seeking freedom for themselves and for their descendants argued long and hard about the inclusion of “The Bill of Rights” into the Constitution. The arguments against it’s inclusion was simple and to the point. Those 10 amendments to the Constitution were held to be so obvious, to the common man, that those who opposed its inclusion in the Constitution feared that the Bill of Rights would be used to limit citizen’s rights by a future government to just those included in the amendments.

    Those rights, codified by their inclusion into the Constitution, are the simplest of rights granted to humanity by their Creator, whatever that may be. It was never intended that government, then or now, be the arbitrator nor interpretor of those rights, or of any other rights a free man holds.

    The duties of the federal government are clearly defined in the Constitution, and are strictly limited in their scope and power. ( Click Here for Article 1 Section 8 )  The 10th amendment clearly states that everything not specifically included in the federal governments enumerated powers, is reserved for the People or to the States.

    Rightful Liberty itself is a simple concept. A free man may do as he wishes, as long as his actions do not interfere with someone else’s Rightful Liberties. The application of it is where problems arise. For every right a free man has, there is are series of duties.

    • The duty to exercise that right mindfully, with awareness of impact on other freemen.

    • The duty to ensure other freeman’s rights are maintained in the face of those that would steal those freedoms.

    • The duty to pass on this concept of Rightful Liberty to the following generations, not only with words, but by example..

    The last one is where we have most ominously failed. Through simple sloth we have allowed Rightful Liberty to wither on the vine. For the sake of convenience we have allowed the Government to teach our children. A whole den of foxes are guarding the hen house and raising the chicks, and it has been so for many years.

    Through simple sloth we have lost sight of what our Creator intended, a free people, freely interacting to make a greater society.

    What can you do today to restore Liberty to our land? What can we do to reverse the course of the current tyranny?

    The most important question is what we are willing to do. What price are you willing to pay to see liberty reborn?

    Speak out, stand up, do not be afraid. A freeman cannot lose his liberty, but he may give it away through sloth, through apathy, through cowardice. The foxes teeth may be sharp, but so are a roosters spurs. Use them wisely.

  • How SWAT Raids Manufacture “Good Shoots”

    Police officers screaming “police,” “get down” and similar commands while charging into a citizen’s home through their shattered door all too often fail to realize that stunned and unprepared citizens need time to understand what is happening and to respond in any meaningful way. Yet SWAT teams try to use the element of surprise, in effect, causing the kind of stunned hesitation and confusion that poorly trained teams use to justify shooting unarmed citizens in their own homes when those citizens don’t respond precisely as demanded as quickly as officers think they should respond during their hyped-up charges.

    In effect, SWAT teams manufacture, through their presence and very tactics and procedures, the circumstances that allow them, under color of authority, to kill citizens, whose only crime is often trying to respond to an unimaginable attack on their home. This is particularly horrific when the police murder innocent people or people guilty of no more than violation of minor, non-violent crimes or even bureaucratic regulations.  Of course, any citizen with the presence of mind to take up a firearm to protect themselves, their family and their home against armed intruders they often do not recognize as police officers could find themselves on the receiving end of a panicky and uncontrolled barrage of gunfire.

  • Here is the Unvarnished Truth

    The principle lost in all of this militarization of bureaucrats is that they generally interact with citizens, not enemy combatants or criminals; they are not headed by someone who can be voted out of office, like a sheriff, or held to account by a city council who can be voted out of office. We are not capable of voting out of office the Director of Homeland Security and impeaching a president is something the corrupted officials will not consider in today’s oligarchy. These are highly armed bureaucrats already infamous for their hostility toward the general public primarily because they are impervious to public opinion.

    When the patriot speaks of tyranny, this is exactly the definition that comes to mind: roving bands of highly-armed bureaucrats enforcing “regulations” crafted by the bureaucracy (without votes, without oversight, without due process) at the point of a gun. I have largely refrained from making correlations between either Nazi’s or Stalinists with these bureaucrats, but it is becoming much too relevant to be ignored.

    It is time for the nonsense to stop. The federal government has mutated from a personal liberty supportive “mutual aid club” born of independent states, into a soul-sucking monstrosity of a parasite.

    We all watched the federal doings at The Bundy Ranch unfold and a spark burst into a gentle flame…the beginnings of a “backfire” like is used to stop wildfires out of control.

    “Government is not reason, nor eloquence. It is force. And like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearsome master.”

    I have found myself in fear of the direction this country has turned for many years now. Liberty has withered on the vine, leaving little but skeletal remains to parch in the heat of that fire known as government.

    The time is now to resist, to nurture that backfire, to deny fuel to the raging wildfire that is overtaking this once proud and free nation. Without fuel, the wild fire will die. Praying for rain has done little.
    I ask of you – which of the list of abuses found in the Declaration of Independence is not being fulfilled today?

    The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.

    • He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.
    • He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.
    • He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.
    • He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.
    • He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.
    • He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected; whereby the Legislative powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.
    • He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.
    • He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.
    • He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.
    • He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.
    • He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.
    • He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power.
    • He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:
    • For Quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:
    • For protecting them, by a mock Trial, from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:
    • For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:
    • For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:
    • For depriving us in many cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury:
    • For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences
    • For abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighbouring Province, establishing therein an Arbitrary government, and enlarging its Boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule into these Colonies:
    • For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:
    • For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.
    • He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.
    • He has plundered our seas, ravaged our Coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people.
    • He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to compleat the works of death, desolation and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation.
    • He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.
    • He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.

    In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

    It is time to end the insanity of tolerating the list of ”repeated injuries and usurpations” – praying that the beating will not be so severe next time. Like an abused wife – eventually the realization dawns, to survive, it is time to kick the bastard out of the house despite the threats and fears.

  • Sovereign Immunity; The King Can Do No Wrong

    I have been musing again, dangerous I know.

    To the best of my recollection the last time we had a King was about 1775. In that pesky document known as the Declaration of Independence authored by a group of fed up Americans – said King was told he had gone too far. His naked tyranny had exceeded the tolerance of the common man…we quit pretending the King had cover for his nakedness.

    The Founding Fathers took matters into their own hands and threw the bum out; the King had in fact done wrong and was called to task for it.

    It is that time again. Government has reached the point of tyranny. We have a myriad of agencies that hear our every word and monitor our every movement. We have countless “regulatory agencies” that control by rule and regulations not passed by Congress – who, Constitutionally speaking, is the sole source of  lawful statutes.

    These United States now does not have but one King – the list is endless.

    Every enforcer of governmental edict has “sovereign immunity”. From your local police, to the the endless numbers of Federal “enforcement agents”, to the members of the group elected to represent us – they all have sovereign immunity conferred upon them by the power of their office. Even if it is not explicitly conferred upon them, in practical terms – NO governmental agent is held PERSONALLY accountable for their actions.

    How many Kings do we tolerate? How many laws, regulations, findings and executive orders are we required to follow? Nobody knows, even the Federal Register is unable to track them all in “real time”.

    It is past time to “throw the bums out”… to return to the principles of personal freedom through personal responsibility.

    This Constitutional Republic was founded on some lofty ideals. And history has shown that these ideals help the individual shine until the light of a body of men united in that common purpose is blinding.

    America has drawn people from all over the globe to her shores – seeking to be a part of that light – to get a little piece of the American dream for themselves and for their children. Today, that light is flickering and and dimming – the source of the fuel is dwindling; that fuel is personal freedom through personal responsibility.

    Our Founding Fathers enshrined these principles in the Constitution – for their sake, and for the sake of posterity. The Constitution was specifically written to dull the edge of the governmental sword for the safety of those who surround it. The Constitution was written to protect the minority as strongly as the majority.. so that the light of freedom was not extinguished by any flood of “popular movements”.

    Equal protection under the law means we have no King or Kings – none are above the law.

    This blog has been quiet lately, not because of apathy, but because the fight needs to go to action – not talk.

    How many times have you called your Senators and Congressman? How many letters have you written to them? How many emails have you sent?

    I have been spending my time doing all of the above.  I would like to think that my voice – tiny by itself – is a part of a chorus directed at those we elect to represent us and to defend the Constitution as it is written.

    The Congress is beginning to pay a bit more attention – begrudgingly – to the men behind the curtains who seek to impose their elitist/statist agenda on us all. The house of cards is beginning to crumble as the outright criminality of behaviors behind the curtain is being glimpsed by the public.

    It is time to pile on..to shout your outrage and make it known that change is long overdue. It is long past time to unmask the pretenders and cast them into the light to be recognized by all for what they are – would be tyrants – self-serving liars.

    We have endured a long assault on our Constitutional Rights and Duties – mainly in silence – under the premise of “good citizenship” for far too long.

    A citizen speaks out – from conscience and a natural inclination to preserve freedom. A slave is quiet lest they be beaten.

    There is NO acceptable compromise of inherent rights and duties  – given us by our Creator as a integral part of our existence.

    The Constitution of the United States simply acknowledges these rights as  pre-existing – and places limits on Government to protect these rights from mans natural instinct to rule over his fellow man when placed in a position of power..of governance.

    It is time to DEMAND that those elected to serve us, those who swore an oath to defend the Constitution, live up to that oath in the true spirit of service.

    The curtain that has been used to hide criminal behavior has blown partially away – we can see part of the ugly truth. Demand the rest of it be exposed to the light so that liberty may be served and freedom be restored.

    Write letters..make calls..refuse to be intimidated..be heard.

    Take your responsibility seriously – be a citizen of this Republic – not a slave.

    Quotes from the Declaration of Independence – Listing the “Train of Abuses”.

    These were written referring to King George of England – today we have many tyrants who have absolved themselves from fulfilling the oath of office they swore. The majority of the 535 men and women holding congressional office, as well as the Executive Branch and innumerable appointed bureaucrats are the tyrants of today.

    He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

    A) Executive privilege and executive orders B) Stonewalling legitimate inquiries into the details of governmental functions. C) Holding themselves above “We the People” in accountability to the rule of law.

    He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.

    Nullification by the several States. The Federal Government holds themselves above the will of the people and the States. The Federal Government exists by the consent of the people to SERVE the people, not to arbitrarily rule by edict.

    He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.

    The “Federal Purse” (the contents of which are extorted from the States) is now used to enforce the Federal will on the States, and on the people. The Constitution and the Bill of Rights was specifically written to reduce “the tyranny of the majority”. The Federal purse is used to entice, coerce and corrupt State and local governments (local law enforcement in particular) into line with Federal policies.

    He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.

    Washington DC is as uncomfortable and distant from the people – and the expressed will of the people – as is possible. Where the original Legislative Branch carried out their duties as quickly as possible so they could return home to continue their farming and businesses. Today being a member of Congress is a full time job. This separation of legislators from those they “represent” is corrupting of the purpose for which they serve – serving to stifle the voices of the people represented.

    Does anyone realize that if we followed the Constitution we would have over 5,000 Representatives in the House? That would make our Representatives much more accountable to the will of the people, maintaining some resemblance of ethical behavior.

    He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.

    Today, it is “law” by decree – bureaucratic regulations put into force by unelected, unaccountable “agencies” are held by the Judicial Branch to be equivalent to constitutionally sound legislation – which is the sole provenance of the Legislative Branch, the House and the Senate.

    Also worthy of note is the hurried passage of  Federal Law without time for study of said Law, and reasoned discourse over it’s details. Think back to the passage of “Obamacare” – shoved into the faces of our representatives with the rejoinder “We have to pass it before we know what it contains”. Pure foolishness  to my thinking, especially on the part of those members of Congress who ALLOWED this to be crammed down their throats rather than carry out their constitutional duty to those they purport to represent.

    He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected; whereby the Legislative powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.

    The select group of bureaucrats who administer all of the regulatory agencies are exempted from accountability and election – thus to the will of the people.

    He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.

    There is a bit of a reversal here; Unrestricted immigration to flood the country with people beholden to the Federal Government for freebies..and to not toss them back across the borders until they immigrate legally.

    He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.

    Recess appointments.

    He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.

    He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.

    Note the multitude of “Alphabet Agencies” and appointed “Czars” who now rule by edict and whim rather than by rule of law set forth by the legislative branch of government after debate and voting as duly elected representatives of the people.

    He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.

    Note: A) The militarization of local police, with the carrot of “Federal funds” dangled before them.
    B) Increasing use of fraudulently sworn search warrants to obtain “help” from the military.
    C) The ever expanding scope of the Department of Homeland Security. i.e. Traffic control checkpoints to demand papers – warrantless searches at not only airports, but now train and bus transportation – DHS buying enough ammunition to support the hottest year of war in Iraq ~for TWENTY YEARS (enough to cover their historical “training needs” for a century.
    D)The “Patriot Act” – which allows domestic warrantless spying on an unprecedented scale, INCLUDING Federal agents writing their own secret search warrents with no judge involved, no probably cause and no oversight. To top it off, telling anyone at all that you have been served one of these self written search warrants will get you in prison…even telling a judge while you are under oath…prison.

    He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power.

    He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:

    United Nations: note the continued attempts at imposition of “global governance” by way of the U.N. and U.N. mandates and treaties.

    For Quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:

    Again, the “Patriot Act” and its unprecedented level of snooping and prying into the private affairs of citizens.

    For protecting them, by a mock Trial, from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:

    “Police Safety” is preached to the militarized police forces, and used as justification for murder, under the “color of law”.

    For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:

    For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:

    Yes.

    For depriving us in many cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury:

    National Defense Authorization Act, that allows the kidnapping and unlimited imprisonment, without trial or review, of any person in the world, including US citizens.

    For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences

    For abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighbouring Province, establishing therein an Arbitrary government, and enlarging its Boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule into these Colonies:

    Absolute contempt and wanton disregard for the intent of the Constitution that founded this nation.

    He has plundered our wallets – and those of our children for generations to come, ravaged our inherent rights, burnt the principles this nation was founded upon, and IS destroying the lives of our people.
