    How many of you are old enough to remember President Nixon and the furor over his keeping of an “enemies list”? The  furor from the left knew no bounds at that point in our nations history. Outrage in the tv news, national headlines in the newspapers. The outcry was tremendous that a standing President would bend Federal Agencies to a personal agenda.

    Now I have something for you to consider.. the current administration is also keeping an enemies list. That enemies list includes EVERYONE who dares to oppose his “political ideal”.   • Creeping Tyranny Begins The Final Sprint.

    I ran across a few things out there on the internet today that just make me shake my head and long for the days of simple (and obvious) coups by naked tyrants.

    Let me state what should be obvious, I love the United States of America. I take pride in being an active citizen in this Republic. 13 of my blood ancestors fought in the Revolution that freed us from tyranny… and I will be damned if I will shut up because a bully is threatening me. I am a free man, and a free man I will remain. The only way to silence my voice is to kill me. I recognize that we are dying the moment we are born…. and today is as good of a day to die as any other.

    Friends, the masses of the United States are being prepared. Prepared for a “cleansing” of the body politic. Everyone who opposes the current administration’s Marxist policies is being demonized by the administration and their mouthpieces. “Terrorist” and Tea Party are being turned into synonyms by the technique of “the big lie”.     That pretty much says it all. Personally, I do not wish to tell my children that I failed to fight – to protect freedom when it was my time to fight – and that is the reason they are enslaved today.

  • Another Opinion On The Super CONgress

    While most Americans swallowed the lies and propaganda being fed to them by the media in regards to the battle to raise the debt ceiling, our Congress took a giant leap forward towards despotism. Little to no attention was given to the entity which now goes by the name Super-Congress, yet it is a huge step towards consolidation of all powers in the hands of a few, the exact definition of despotism. In his Notes on Virginia, Thomas Jefferson wrote, “The concentrating [all the powers of government, legislative, executive and judiciary] in the same hands is precisely the definition of despotic government. It will be no alleviation that these powers will be exercised by a plurality of hands, and not by a single one.”

    Our founders created a system of government that gave the people a voice in the affairs of our government by virtue of the House of Representatives. The states also had a say in government by virtue of the members of the Senate were to be appointed by the various state legislatures. In 1913, with the ratification of the 17th Amendment, the states lost their say in how our government was ran with the members of the Senate being elected directly by popular vote of the people. Now, when Congress agreed to the idea of a Super-Congress, the voice of the people has been given to a small handful of people, 12 to be exact.

    Some are saying this new Super-Congress is just another committee and that we have nothing to fear. Either they are naïve, or they are stupid, or maybe a combination of both. To quote from an article in the Huffington Post, “Under the reported framework, legislation the new congressional committee writes would be fast-tracked through Congress and could not be filibustered or amended.”

    So, now this committee of 12 can write legislation to which the body of Congress cannot amend. They will be left out of the loop in the forming of laws and will only be able to vote yea or nay. So let me get this straight, if this Super-Congress is going to be comprised of 12 people, I would guess that 6 are going to be from the Senate and 6 from the House. That means that 429 members of the House, and 94 members of the Senate are not going to have any say in what goes into proposed legislation.

  • TMI – This Governments Idea Of Too Much Information

    To understand how “balance” could be achieved, we refer again to President Obama’s warning that Hampton graduates must avoid information that becomes distracting. Precisely how can one recognize distracting information? A clue lies in the CAP report’s insistence that broadcast companies serve “the listening needs of all Americans.” The key word is “needs.” Liberals assume that people should need only the information that liberals want people to have. Other information constitutes “distraction.”

    But when huge majorities of customers support existing talk radio programming, there exists only imaginary distraction. Only the most microscopic gap could exist between demand and supply. Such unpleasantness doesn’t faze progressive know-it-alls unable to accept that customers recoil from force-fed progressive talk.

    Undeterred, Lloyd and the other coauthors of the 2007 CAP report recommended a force-feeding technique that requires “diversity” in radio station ownership in order to inflict repeatedly rejected progressive viewpoints on the people.

  • WHEN, Not IF, The House Of Cards Tumbles Down

    If any of you have spent your time as a child (or as an adult) building a structure of playing cards, you will recognize that there is a limit to how tall you can build it. There are immutable laws of nature (and chance)  that prevent it from being infinitely tall. The structure WILL fall, the question is when and how. Simple physics, a chance bump while adding another card, a breeze, or just your little brothers mischievousness ensure that the house will fall.

    6.3073 trillion  dollars was level of national debt when President Obama took office. The current level of national debt is about 14.5 trillion dollars, with the “allowable limit” or “the debt ceiling” now raised another 2 trillion. That gives us a total of about 16.5 trillion dollars in rough terms. Given the current governments propensity to spend, the additional “allowed” 2 trillion will be gone in a few scant months.

    There are a lot of sites out there on the net that have noted that in the first 19 months of the Obama administration – more debt has been incurred than ALL of the administrations from George Washington to Ronald Reagan …COMBINED.

    If you have been paying attention, The Federal Reserve also “made available” and additional 16 trillion dollars during the TARP program, that 16 trillion went to prop up foreign banks that help to prop up the world economy. Where did the additional 16 trillion come from? It was simply created, we say we have it, so there it is. That 16 trillion is not counted in the national debt.

    What “The Powers That Be” count on is the public forgetting that if you have 100 apples and divide them 200 ways, there are still 100 apples. If you divide 100 apples 150 trillion ways, there are STILL 100 apples. The additional 16 trillion created might not show on our national debt, but it drives down the size of each slice of the original 100 apples…thus the US dollar is worth less.

    The 16 trillion that went elsewhere is “stealth debt”. It is real, but it is hidden if you have not been watching closely. Continue reading  Post ID 343

  • Super CON-gress Part II

    The newest idea floating through the halls of our “beloved representatives” in Washington is the idea of Super Congress. A so called “super committee” made up of both Senators and Representatives from both parties. They propose to streamline legislation by approving it in this new committee, then putting it up for a simple up or down vote in both Houses of Congress.

    On it’s face, if we don’t think it over, there seems to be no problem. I mean, why not make legislation quicker to adopt “for the good of the Nation”?

    The answer when we dig just a bit deeper is a lot more insidious. The Constitution and the idea of “A Republic” that the Constitution codified, is there to protect the minority from the majority. A Democracy is simple mob rule, whoever has the most votes wins. The hell with the 49% that oppose an idea.

    Super CON-gress turns this idea on it’s head. There is NO debate other than in the rarefied atmosphere this committee provides. There is no filibuster to defeat legislation.

    The very IDEA of this new committee is unconstitutional, yet the creation of this committee is embedded in the Debt Ceiling Bill that is about to be voted on. Politicians on both sides of the aisle are behind this raw power grab.

    What is next for our so called “Public Servants”? Shall we just have the President appoint the members of CONgress? How about a Super Supreme Court, of three Justices to present their findings to the whole Supreme Court to be voted up or down? Perhaps the President should appoint the Super Supremes too.

    We are past the slippery slope friends, we are clinging to the edge of precipice with our fingernails.

    Stand up now and shout.. light the torches and polish the pitchforks, for soon they may be all we have left.

    Speak up now or forever hold your peace.

  • DC – We Lose They Win, Congress Exempt From The Law They Wrote

    Only in Congress.. make them comply with the laws they enact for the rest of us. I am not sure about you, but I would like a job that after two years of service I could retire on full pay for the rest of my life. A job that paid full medical for life. A job that exempts me from following laws.

  • A Reasonable and Common Sense Approach to Firearms Ownership

    We keep hearing political figures, sports figures, Hollywood heroes, and all manner of celebrities asking for a “reasonable and common sense” approach to the issue of firearms in the hands of citizens. I do agree that reason and common sense needs to be applied to this issue. In fact, I hear very little of either applied today…on any side of the issue.

    Nearly every incident that happens where a firearm is used to kill innocents makes world wide news today – the bloodier the incident, the louder it is opined about. There is a push for global gun control through UN mandate. Politicians cry out their fears. Celebrities want to “save the children” from the horrors of “the proliferation of weapons”.

    Perhaps some reason does need to go into this debate…along with a dose of “fairness”. What is the proven way to handle the issue of firearms in our global society?

    I have to admit; I admire (in a sick and twisted way) the sheer chutzpah of our “elected representatives”. The current administration has warped the mechanics of how the federal government is supposed to work through the appointment of yet another layer of bureaucracy, the czars. This warping of the structure of government beyond what is laid out in the simple language of the Constitution has been going on for a long time now – since the “War Between The States” and before. Indeed, if you choose to read “The Federalist Papers” and the “Anti Federalist Papers” how the Federal Government was going to work was a subject of hot controversy, even then.

    This is a whole new level of officious BS in my opinion. I just STEAM when I hear the states unofficial organs of propaganda (aka Main Stream Media) and governmental officials refer to the USA as a democracy. It’s a REPUBLIC stupid. That is the very basis of the Union of Free States now known as “The United States of America”.

    Republics citizens elect people to represent them in the matters of day to day government. None of us has the  time to study the myriad issues and still be productive citizens. Thus, the concept of a “republic” was born. As citizens we are supposed to elect people to represent our way of thinking and do the day to day business of regulation of government interests. The kicker? We are supposed to elect people we trust to represent our interests. These people we elect are intended to do the job as “public servants” as a service to those they represent.

    When is the last time you have trusted an elected official? We now have politicians, not public servants. Politicians are a class of their own these days, in the business of getting re-elected to positions of power. Look up the word “servant”..I fail to see the word “power” anywhere in the definition.     Like all of life, freedom is not a destination..it is a journey. There are twists and turns – confusing times when we wonder where we are – and travelers that seem to be heading in the same general direction.

    The ones that bother me are those who just wonder aimlessly behind well defined fences. They do not choose a path to follow that is more risky than the well worn lines behind the fence surrounding their pasture. They never lift their head to see beyond the next blade of grass. Even if tempted by fresh grazing just outside the fence, their grasping is limited to stretching their neck through the fence, then pulling it back in defeat. Continue reading  Post ID 343

  • The “Dick Act” of 1902

    Being a latecomer to the world of shouting from the rooftops, I often feel like I am merely echoing what has been said many times before…by better men than myself. Then I wonder if just because I am late, should I remain silent?

    NO, I am going to add my voice in the hope that just one more person will hear the truth.

    Have you ever heard of the “Dick Act of 1902?” More properly known as the “Efficiency of Militia Bill H.R. 11654”. Oddly enough it is not available online from government sources, only a “catalog page” found at The Library of Congress .

    The Dick Act’s most quoted synopsis is:

     

    The Dick Act of 1902 also known as the Efficiency of Militia Bill H.R. 11654, of June 28, 1902 invalidates all so-called gun-control laws. It also divides the militia into three distinct and separate entities.

    The three classes H.R. 11654 provides for are the organized militia, henceforth known as the National Guard of the State, Territory and District of Columbia, the unorganized militia and the regular army. The militia encompasses every able-bodied male between the ages of 18 and 45. All members of the unorganized militia have the absolute personal right and 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms of any type, and as many as they can afford to buy.

    The Dick Act of 1902 cannot be repealed; to do so would violate bills of attainder and ex post facto laws which would be yet another gross violation of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The President of the United States has zero authority without violating the Constitution to call the National Guard to serve outside of their State borders.

     

    Interesting, no? Gun control acts of 1934 and 1968 out the window? “Regulation” by bureaucratic fiat null and void? I find it hilarious that the bill introduced to fund the National Guard’s annual exercise also provides for the unorganized militia (you and me) to own whatever we wish in the way of weaponry “for the militia”.

    Just another conveniently ignored facet of living in a “Republic” that the modern day politicians try to make us believe is a democracy.. the people hold the power.

    “Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man gainst his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia.     Freedom is not convenience, it is being un-coercible, unbowed before any but God and conscience.

  • 6 Lessons from the 20th Century

    LESSON NO. 6: While nations do not always get the leaders they deserve, they always get the leaders they tolerate. And anyone who tells you that “It Can’t Happen Here” is whistling past the graveyard of history. There is no “house rule” that bars tyranny coming to America. History is replete with republics whose people grew complacent and descended into imperial butchery and chaos. Dictators count on the assistance of people who are complacent, fearful, envious, lazy and corrupt. While there is no “Collective guilt” to the crimes of a regime (all such crimes being committed by specific criminal individuals), there is certainly “collective responsibility” — especially for those who watch the criminals at work without objecting or interfering.

    A French journalist of the last century wrote: “I must speak out, for I will not be an accomplice.” Evil tyrants require, indeed they depend upon, willing and unwilling accomplices — good people who would never think of harming a soul themselves. Lenin called such people “useful idiots.”

    De Tocqueville observed that “America is great because America is good. When America ceases to be good, she will cease to be great.” As related in the Old Testament, God judged nations based upon the immorality and criminality of their leaders. Entire peoples were scourged because of their failure to remove corrupt leaders.
